Bell Direct appoints national account manager

Online broker Bell Direct has named a new national account manager of its trading platform, Desktop Broker.

Nicholas Oslear will join Bell Direct as a national account manager of the firm's Desktop Broker.

Mr Oslear will be responsible for sourcing, developing and managing key relationships in the intermediary market throughout Australia, a statement by Bell Direct said.

Bell Direct chief executive Arnie Selvarajah said: "Mr Oslear brings a strong focus on client service and creating innovative solutions for advisers, and this is clearly aligned with the values of Desktop Broker."

Desktop Broker allows advisers to buy and sell shares at low cost for clients, utilising market news and research insights to enhance trading performance, the statement said.

"Desktop Broker is a highly regarded and innovative share trading product that is increasingly winning support from financial advisers," said Mr Selvarajah.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Oslear was a business development manager at Commsec Adviser Services.
