Midwinter to offer virtual advice through SuiteBox

Software provider Midwinter Financial Services has partnered with SuiteBox to provide its advisers with virtual advice capabilities.

In a statement, Midwinter said the decision to integrate SuiteBox's virtual advice function into its offering was motivated by the desire to create a more seamless adviser and client experience.

Midwinter managing director Julian Plummer said: "Now, via the Midwinter/SuiteBox integration, remote meetings for our users will not only [be] as simple as a click of a few buttons, but they will also be recorded and saved within their AdviceOS CRM as the pure cloud technology within AdviceOS allows this."

He added: "Advisers have inquired about the ability to carry out remote meetings for some time now, and it's pleasing to be able to provide our users with the technology to do so via SuiteBox.

"In particular, the ability to carry out virtual advice has been eagerly anticipated by financial planners in regional areas, who often find it difficult to have regular face-to-face meetings with their clients."

Mr Plummer pointed out that the software integration will also allow advisers to digitally complete the document-review process - "they can share and review documents, sign in online and record the meeting using any web-enabled device".

"The obvious benefit here is that the client doesn't have to wait for application forms to arrive in the post or have to partake in a face-to-face meeting if it is inconvenient to do so - the whole document review process can be done digitally with extremely low latency between the client and the adviser," he added.

According to Midwinter, innovative features such as virtual advice will allow planners to deliver more efficient advice.

SuiteBox country manager Ian Dunbar said: "Virtual advice is a game changer for financial advisers, offering them the opportunity to expand their geographic reach, service clients more efficiently, grow their businesses and deliver advice to more Australians."

The first phase of the software integration is expected to go live in early December.
