Online adviser portal launched by IOOF

Financial services firm IOOF has launched an online adviser portal for its IOOF Employer Super users.

The new portal will provide advisers with access to member information on an as-needed basis, as well as a number other features, and according to IOOF head of product Chris Weldon was created off the back of "Intense research and development".

"We used a 'best-in-market' ideology and continuous interaction with advisers and their support staff meant we built directly to the way they worked and thought," he said.

The IOOF Online service will provide advisers with a search capability for data mining purposes, which will allow them to segregate client types and generate reports, as well as standard report automation, self-validating online forms, trading and flexible investment instruction functionality, and security measures that allow advisers to "grant and manage access to their support staff".

"We've already had very positive feedback from both members and their advisers on the client version of IOOF Online with new registrations up by 22 per cent since the site went live.

"We are strong believers in the premise that providing better tools for advisers to provide financial advice to our IOOF Employer Super members results in better long term outcomes," Mr Weldon said.
