SAFAA to offer compliance e-learning
The Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association has partnered with GRC Solutions to provide members with access to digital compliance training.
GRC Solutions said in a statement that it would be offering an array of new online courses designed for members of the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association (SAFAA), including tax advice practitioners.
"The partnership coincides with last week's announcement by Kelly O'Dwyer, Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, that new requirements to raise the competency and ethical conduct standards of financial advisers will commence on 1 January 2019," the company said.
"This includes compulsory education requirements for new and existing financial advisers, supervision conditions for new advisers, an industry-wide benchmark exam and a code of ethics as part of the mandate."
SAFAA chief executive Andrew Green said the new initiative would further enhance the association's training and education programs.
"We already provide education and training that set the benchmark in the financial services industry. This new e-learning partnership with GRC will provide members with access to courses that lifts the bar even higher," he said.
